Georgia

On Tuesday, leaving Justin's house, I started out another day of riding, fearing the rain once again (the forecast had stated that it would be raining every day for the rest of the week every place I planned to be). It had been raining early that morning, but fortunately it stopped before I left his house and didn't make another appearance.

So I rode all day and ended up going about 70 miles, stopping in Toccoa, GA. The ride was astounding, but I didn't really feel like stopping to take many pictures. I took at few at the end of the day, the first being a picture of a river I crossed, and then at the end of the bridge I discovered I was crossing into Georgia.

I stayed the night in another abandoned building, still fearing it would rain. The inside of it looked like an old house with tile floors. It was nice and had evidently been stayed in by other people, with "Push me" painted on the door. When I did so, it slid easily open.

The rain decided to wait out the night and start immediately when I woke up this morning, and I decided I would just take another day off and stay here for the day, still not looking forward to my first encounter with the rain. Conveniently it stopped about half an hour later and I decided to risk it. I departed and have encountered some of the highest hills so far. I made it eventually to Homer, GA, where right now I'm sitting in the local library writing this, avoiding the sprinkling rain which just began, and charging my phone.

Hey glad to see you are doing well, we have been thinking about you ever since you left. I hope the mountains in GA and TN are not getting the best of you. Just remember it has to be easier than going thru NC> We are wishing you all the best on a safe and fun trip (if a bit tough)
